xantia trailling arm - nipples

Postby shaunthesheep » Tue Sep 10, 2002 11:39 pm

hi all
i will be fitting grease nipples to my xantia's rear trailing arms next week, i've got the nipples 6mm, but unsure as to the best place to fit them, any ideas welcome.
will also be replacing trailing arm bearing's at the same time due to squeak!.

Dom,
On the BX, I fit them 35mm in from the outer edge & central in the other direction.
I usually go for the 45 degree angled type and/or replace the nipple with a flat headed screw once pumped up. If you check out "common problems & fixes" on this forum you'll find links to a site that has pics of the entire job along with some written instructions.
