xantia power steering

Post by brendan greehy »

<font face="Comic Sans MS">a querry! some mornings the power steering seems very slow to come in to force , its seems to be worse on cold mornings , within a few minutes its back to normal , the pump is only a couple of years old , the LHM was changed 6 months ago after the system was hydraflushed , there are no warning lights on either , whats the matter with it
many thanks

make sure both filters in the lhm tank are clean, even if they look ok give them a clean, they sometimes get a slimmy film on them which restricts the flow of lhm.

Model? Year?
Early Xants and XM's and most BX's had FDV's - these regulate the LHM flow to the power steering and are a known cause of problems.
