2.1 Block - 1.9 Head

Post by HFStuart »

I've read on here that the 2.1 XUD11 is the same or similar block as the 1.9 (I guess the XU bit is a giveaway).
Does anyone have the bore / stroke for the 2.1 ?
When my engine gets hauled out for a recon / replacement it might be a better option than using the big 12v head.
Thanks

I don't think that any of the oil and water holes line up. Nice idea though.

Thanks,
So it's a bored & stroked version. I think I'll have a word with Ivor Searle to see if there's an overbore piston available for the 2.1. Providing the compression ratio is workable that would give me 86x88 and about 2050cc or 7 and a bit percent more than standard.
This is all abit speculative but the plan is to see how much more responsive it would be.
