Advice needed re new picasso

Replacing a Scenic. Mrs Shiney likes the Picasso.
We have been offered a new 2.0 HDi Desire at 10,600 quid. Thing is the sales man dropped the price 800 quid as we were leaving to think about the first offer, only in silver at this price. We were looking at a a one or two year old to avoid the depreciation trap, but the i year old they have is only 200 quid cheaper.
I know this forum is more about older cits, (my xantia has benefitted from the advice!) but does anyone know enough about newer cars to say if this is a good deal?

try a search for the unnofficialpiccasso website there usually pretty good.
