xantia air bag
could anyone tell me if my xantia 1.8 m reg has an air bag? Although air bag is printed on the steering wheel, there does'nt seem to be any air bag warning lights etc. which would lead me to believe that the print work is standard on all xantias steering wheels, even though an air bag may not necessarly be fitted.

If it say's air bag on the wheel then there will be one, your warning light bulb may be shot.
The same controller for the air bag also fires the charges in the seatbelt pre-tentioners, look under the seat's and you should see orange coloured cables fastened to the underside with orange connectors on them.
These connectors are famous for causing the airbag light to flash.
If you haven't had the car long and the previous owner had this fault it may have been tampered with, removing the bulb alltogether is a favourit method of getting it through a test.
If you go investigating the problem be sure to observe airbag safety precaution's
