can enyone tell me how to change the caliper guide pin rubber boot seal on a xantia 1.9td please also how much for the part,Citroen dealer?

My Cars: BX TZD @ 250K miles (J reg),
Xantia TD @ 165K miles (R reg),
Xantia 2.1 TD (R reg)
and tow a caravan with them all (not at the same time)

Sounds as though either:
1) NO ones actually changed this part before (unlikely)
or
2) Those who have are too embarrassed to talk about it here (could it be a bit of a swine then ?)

You can't get the part on its own, you have to buy a kit.
Number 8 in this picture, this might not be the right caliper for your car.

Two round objects are shown which could be some sort of spring clip, I've never done this job before so I don't know the exact details.

Why not get a complete caliper from a scrapyard? Much easier job, probably almost as cheap, and any other damaged / worn parts will be gone too.
