Post by jason »

i had my cambelt changed the weekend by SOMEBODY THEY KNOW WHO THEY ARE. i was told that the cambelt covers didnt need to go back on,told mechanic today and he said what a load of B?LL?OCK?,THEY DO,it has cost me £35.00 for covers and will cost me £60.00 to have them fitted,i am very upset and angry and advise anybody not to let "OILYSPANNER" near your car i am sure he must have been a butcher at some point in his life!T?SSER!

60 quid to have you cambelt covers fitted? I only know about the XUD engine, and maybe yours is something else, but the old style ones clip on, the new ones have 3 bolts. They can be pretty awkward to get to as there is usually bugger-all space but it's no more than a 20-minute job, and about a 3-minutes job if you have the clip-on sort and reasonable access. I'd agree that leaving them off isn't very smart.

I'd rather that you and the other party sort this out between yourselves, and not use this forum to resolve your differences.
