Xsara external air temperature sender

Hi, A friend with a Xsara VTS needs to know where his external air temperature sender is located as its playing up. Im guessing somewhere under a wing or the bumper? Heres his post on my motor club forum

Where the **** the external air temperature sender is located on a Xsara?
Mine now seems to think that the ambient temp is 44 degrees C
Would not normally be a problem but sensor is linked to the A/C ECU and the climate control/ventilation system seems to do whatever it feels like-most disconcerting when you've been driving along for twenty minutes and all of a sudden it mists all the windows up.
Electronics-don't you just love 'em

Mine is in the Left hand wing mirror (its the little nipple on the bottom)
