Went to local garage to replace a vibey left driveshaft. The guy checked all his catalogues, but said that all catalogues showed only 1,8 16V UNTIL model year 1998. Meaning non-facelift Xantia.
But mine's a facelift with ABS.
Can there be any difference in driveshafts between f/l and non-f/l???
Am I right thinking the correct part would be (in GSF catalogue)
Xantia 1.6/1.8/1.9 D (+ABS) 93-> N43858/60 ???

Firstly, the 1.9 8v and 16v shafts are indeed the same, and the change was at RP 6870 (July 1995!when the LH shaft +ABS became 3273Q4. I then checked the shafts for Xantia Mk2 1998 1.8 16v and these are also Citroen 3273Q4 (exchange LH side).
What I need to confirm whether GSF N43858 is the shaft >RP6870 or after, I will do that tomorrow as I'm not in work today. I will then post further reply.
