xantia alarm
i need to disconnect the alarm on my 1996 xantia td as it never works properly and lately when the weather is wet i can still here the siren making a noise, even when it is turned off with the key near the windscreen, so i would like to completely disconnect it, do i just need to pull a fuse or is it more complicated than that.
Fuse number F17(15amp) in the main fusebox below steering wheel.Thats the main power supply to the alarm.
There are 2 more fuses as well, but they also cover other things.F12(10amp)heating,a/c,c/control,hydractive,instruments,& alarm system & siren.
F15(20amp)heated seats,boot lights,light delay timer,& alarm led.
I pulled out F17 when my alarm went through a phase of going off. That fuse stopped it all together. The deadlocks still worked on the remote though.
