Difference between 306 and zx rear beam?
Furhter to my rear suspension problem I have sourced another complete rear set-up which is supposed to be from a volcane. How can I be sure without fitting and hours of work. The 'new' replacement has bosch abs sensors but I can't ell if its actually from a volcane

If you haven't got the original axle to compare with, I think you will need to find out the diameter of the volcane torsion bars, they should be bigger than standard.
The anti roll bars may also be thicker.
If you have got bar's of the correct diameter its a start, though still may not be from a ZX, I would expect sporty 306's to have the same bar, in which case you would have to adjust them.
The Haynes ZX diesel manual No 1922 goes into great detail for adjusting the rear torsion bar suspension.
