Serious problem, collective wisdom required

Post by Robin »

I have a 'Trafficmaster' that uses an inertia switch to activate it and it has auto shutdown when it is not on the move.
My problem is that now I have moved it from the Xant to the XM it doesn't switch on and if I give it a nudge it shuts down after five minutes.
Could I cure this with a pair of square wheels or would just one be enough![:o)]

Probably one would work better than 2. I wonder if the unit containing the inertia switch is mounted at the appropriate angle.

In line with Jeremy.
If my memory serves me correct I have read somewhere these devices must be accurately fitted - like a safety belt roll lock.

Cheers, Jeremy, Anders. I have repositioned the unit, upright, but no improvement. I suspect being an older gismo it is possibly nearing the end of it's life, or it was never intended to cope with the Citroen suspension! Still I don't do the mileage anymore so perhaps I can learn to live without it. R
