Rear suspension

Post by user_3150 »

Is it me! My rear suspension can sound boomy on some types of bumps or road surfaces. I have changed all the spheres and was wondering if it might be either the LHM needs changing or that the rear bushes have gone. Any ideas ? It does seem worse on the passenger side. She has done about 50,000 miles.

Sure it's not the exhaust playing up?

I don't think so. How do you mean? Loose or leaking. Or is there something else to look out for.

When I fitted a replacement rear box, because the hangers didn't quite match the original, the box and pipe were suspended near enough to the underside to make contact when going over humps. Bending the brackets lowered the silencer.
