Xantia rubber seals

Post by ripsaw82 »

Am i the only one who has hell with these dam rubber seals that go around the accumulator sphere thread.
This is the third one in less then 8 months now that has basically disintgrated almost, allowing LHM to leak out by the accumulator sphere.

Have you been installing the seal correctly?
As I understand it ,you insert the seal into the aperture and then screw down the sphere on top of it,hand tight with a little LHM smear on mating surfaces.

I'll second Harry's question. You'll have trouble if you try to replace the sphere by putting the rubber gasket on the sphere rather than fitting it in the groove.
