SAXO VTS HEATER PROBLEM

Post by whizz_2001 »

Can anyone help me? My heater will work if I switch it to the number 3 but does nothing if you put it to the first 2 positions. Any ideas why this would happen??
cheers

It is most likely the resistors have burned out.

It will more likely be the resistors as the motor runs at full speed. It appears that some have resistors integral with motor and some don't. Kafkaian dismantled one the other day and reported his findings:http://www.andyspares.com/discussionfor ... C_ID=10239

good point, unlucky whizz looks like you'll be getting the soldering iron out or gettin yo ass down the breakers!!
Should be the same PCB on all Saxo's with a three speed motor i'd imagine.. not sure if the bit off any other Cits wouild fit, anyone?
then again Saxo's arent exactly rare now are they....[;)]
