Anybody care to enlighten me as to what a Doseur valve is?

It is a pair of valves that both open when you brake - one supplies line pressure to the front brakes, the other rear suspension pressure to the rear brakes, so they are load-proportional.
To give it more 'feel' and prevent too many flat noses [;)], there is also a piston connected to the front brake line that pushes back against the valve spool.
