I understand the local classic car club has a 'drive it day' on Sunday 10th September, that you can tag along with if you want.

This may well be something i could come to. Its a more comfortable drive for me and lilpug, doable for an early start and still get there at a reasonable time, stay overnight and join in the drive it day on the Sunday before going home. Very interested[emoji4]

I haven't decided about the Sunday yet, going check B&Bs for a stay, possibly drive home then back the day after.......

Booked b&b for Friday and Saturday so will be good for the Sunday run too.

Ill have to work out if its practical for me to get down there for this after out NC500 run the week before. It could well work in and be doable if finances permit.
