Not many in March ....I always drove when it was off season. The French Border guards were bemused when I turned up at their little hill top shacks ....they were buggers for looking in every crevice (in the car) however :)

I have a fair-sized mailing list and sent out an e-mail yesterday. If you didn't receive it and want to be on the mailing list for the event, let me know :)

I'll have to have a think...
Jim - I can recommend the Hotel Saint Georges in Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne as a base for your little cycling detour :) A good old French hotel, cyclist friendly (a defibrillator available downstairs if you've overdone it :rofl2: , and secure parking 'round the back). La Toussuire right on your doorstep along with a plentiful supply of other mountain stages within easy sweating distance :-D

Being the main care source is the problem.....and having a Brother who does not give a crap/visit ever despit being 20 miles away/give me some break time - really prevents me doing/planning anything.
I may have to have a chat with my cousin in the New Forest (who is in the same boat) about a "stay away" for Mum. That however will upset her in a whole new way, disruption sends her off into panic attacks ect as I found out when I had time away to get the Activa.

I hope all can come good as it'll be great fun!
