The official X-Rally 2015 thread

Post by Paul296 »

Here's the official X-Rally flyer for this year (although I will be producing a Xantia/XM variant for the April Citroenian so as not to be accused of model favoritism :) ). As per last year, a concourse event will award trophies/medals/certificates for best CX, BX, XM, Xantia, overall best of show and - the much coveted - 'Shed of the Show' award. All Citroens however, new or old, are very welcome and encouraged to attend.

With any luck the weather will be as marvelously spring-like as it has been in previous years helping to get the rally season off to a really great start. I hope as many people, and their cars, as possible will be able to come along and continue to make the X-Rally such an enjoyable and much anticipated event - see you there!

For anyone that's interested, Barry Annells has very kindly offered to open up shop over at Bourne Citroen in order to host a technical day on Saturday 25th. This has started to become a regular fixture at X-Rally weekend and anyone that has attended in previous years will know what a useful and enjoyable day this is; free tea/coffee/biscuits/chat/technical advice/mucking about with cars and sunshine (hopefully) - what more do you want? :D

If anyone that was lucky enough to be the recipient of one of last years 'Best' trophies happens to be reading this, could they please make themselves known, as I need to make arrangements for the return of the trophies so that they can be re-awarded this year. Thanks

I will be there today, around lunchtime, in the Activa...

Straight after karate training...

Unless it's peeing down and then I won't bother. Rallies are no fun in the rain....

It was good! Great to meet you Jim, but for too short a period of time. See you at another one.

I so wish I could have been there, but as my weekends are now Tuesday and Wednesday (this was clear at my interviews, so I have no reason to complain) I couldn't. Still, sometimes they revert back to the normal weekends, so I might get one when there is a Citroen rally on.
