Manchester Classic Car Show

Post by Trainman » 13 Sep 2013, 08:45

I've been asked to source a C6 for the Citroen Car Club to be displayed at The Footman James Manchester Classic Car Show http://www.manchesterclassiccarshow.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; which is the weekend of 21st/22nd September.

I know very little about it, as I'm on holiday my car is unavailable.

Points to note:

** You MUST be a member of the Citroen Car Club, Ideally from the Northern Section.
** Your C6 needs to be available from Friday afternoon/Evening until Sunday Evening.

If you have any interest then please PM me, with your contact details, so I can pass them on to the Event's Coordinator who can then go through things with you.

  I have toyed with the idea, but I've arranged for it to be serviced that weekend, the other option is to leave the service. But then I have no way of getting it anywhere as we have to be at Manchester Airport for some ungodly hour on Sunday morning.

On top of that, it's disgusting because we haven't been using it.

I got the same message from Nigel the other night while he was on the phone, there must be someone who would like their C6 on the stand and can spare it for the weekend. There are quite a few members in the North with them and I understand Nigel had someone else in mind, the one from Spooks? There is also the chap with the black 3.0HDi, who's name escapes me.

I'll be going to the show on Friday evening, Saturday to see the show and then again Sunday evening ... three trips to Manchester in one weekend, lovely.

It's so frustrating not being able to help, I've tried ringing Tony, the guy with the Silver C6, but no avail, now whether I've written the number down wrong...... or he's away, I just don't know....

The only other thing I could do, is try and get the service done early, and try and find somebody else to take mine, there are a number of issues with this...... I'm just hoping that somebody comes through in the end.....

I'm pleased to report that a member of the CCC Northern section has stepped forward and there will be a C6 on display.

I think Nigel will be happy with 10, we are taking two now.

I'm looking forward to it :)
