Im just in from my trip back home, over 550 miles all in.

What a fantastic weekend :-D Im a little worn out now and ready for some Zzzzs but what a very very enjoyable weekend. As ever, some very nice cars and excellent people to talk to. I dont think I managed to get around everyone I was intending to meet, Campbell I didn't even know you were there

Congratulations to all those who won an award, especially James for his CX Prestige, very well deserved :-D

Shame that this is the last real meet of the year, roll on the X Rally :-D

I'm really pleased to hear everyone had an excellent time. I was gutted not to make it, but I ended up having to work on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. I did try to get some kip during my break on Friday night with the intention of heading up on Saturday morning, but sadly, it didn't happen. I've worked 92 hours the last 7 days, probably against Doctor's advice. I look forward to seeing some more pictures, and I will make some rallies next year!

The BXC got the first 'look-in' followed by the FCF, as the 'www.club-xm.co.uk' is down (Hopefully the 'www.club-xm.com' is working so that I can post there) !

I was there - with a tatty blue XM estate, shown up by being parked next to a superb XM Exclusive hatchback, two cars down from Jim's black 'un!

I didn't even bother washing it before the show, in fact it was in Exeter the day before, earning its keep, and the shareholders of Shell a dividend!

Someone even suggested gunk for my engine bay!

Does anyone have a list of prize winners!

James's CX was super - it's first trip out.

An excellent event and some fantastic weather and grub. Quite a novelty not having to pack cooker, larder, cool box et al.

The trip to Bletchley Park was very interesting indeed, given that I'm into vintage radios as well.

Morning all,

As every one else has already said "where did the time go?" I've up loaded some of the pictures I took here: http://photobucket.com/CXM2012" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; However, I couldn't resist showing you one of King James holding court

Image

again, like everyone else I only saw a few people I knew were there, Bletchley Park was a place I had always wanted to go, but I'm going to have to go back, I didn't see a quarter of it. See you all next year, if not before

What did the lexia say Tim? i dont want to stick my neck out too much but i believe when we spoke you said its on its 2nd or 3rd sensor already, if so i suspect lambda wiring which runs across the front of the engine to the ecu doesnt it on a xant? you should never exclude a new part from scrutiny but having had so many sensors in such a short space of time and the odity with disturbing the inctor rail/ harness making it run like a dream i would serously consider checking out the loom before buying yet another part for the old girl.

Part of the problem for the Lambda sensor on Tim's car is that it's been blasted with a very rich fuel mixture from the moment it was fitted and may well be clogged up. When I had the car for diagnosis the Lambda sensor was very lazy in operation and would fail to oscillate again if the engine was left to idle for a while even after being given a good run up the road, my parting words to Tim were that a good blast may well get it going again.

Now that the incorrect timing belt position has been resolved and the correct fuel pressure regulator operating at (50% lower pressure) have been sorted it's a very good call to suggest fitting a new Lambda sensor.
