I tried that once with my last C5, it might have been to the DSM actually, about three years ago. I remember someone saying why didn't I sell it and buy an Xm or a Xantia  Look where that got me!

Evening folks, got another update for the Rally for you.

Traditionally we hold a Raffle on the Sunday to end the weekend, and as well as all of the "usual" raffle prizes we've got some special ones this year. Many many thanks must go to James Walshe of Kerrang Radio and Q Radio for the following donations to the raffle, which we thank him very much.

First is up for grabs is a pair of tickets to go to see Nickelback at the 02 in London in October! As well as this, up for grabs are various CDs from a wide range of artists and hopefully something for every age group and taste, and a bundle of Bauer Media magazines.

So dig deep for some raffle tickets on the day - it'll be worth it!

Once again, many thanks to James of Kerrang Radio and Q Radio =D> =D>

Excellent prizes to the raffle, thanks James :)

The Raffle at Weatherby this year was a little awkward, some people who were winning were walking away with nothing as they didnt like what there was, especially towards the end

After the ICCCR, for me this CXM is the best of the year :) Lets hope for some half decent weather :-D

I'll be there from Saturday late morning until Sunday evening.

BX's are of course more than welcome to attend (infact all Citroens are!). This particular Rally Jacksun used to be called the CX Rally, then the CXM Rally when interest improved in XMs and recently the CX, XM and Xantia Rally as once again interest increased in Xantias with good turnouts.

The people that went to this show expressed interest in another show happening earlier in the year as the wait to September was too long. Also, BXers wanted a Show, and the "X Rally" held in April was born catered for CX, XM, BXs and Xantias.

The CX, XM and Xantia Rally is different to the X Rally: a weekend rather than a single day; organised meal; convoy drive etc. However all Citroens are still welcome, geez, I'm going to turn up in a steel sprung C4...!

Of course spaces are still available - we're not going to turn anyone away (T&C's apply...) ! We would just like a general idea of numbers, that will help our planning.

I saw Nickelback live many years ago when they were an up-and coming but mostly unknown band supporting Bon Jovi on tour. Saw them at the MK Bowl. Bloody excellent they were too. A very good raffle prize indeed :-D

I thought the X-rally was brilliant, a very good turnout of all the 80s and 90s Citroens. A nice addition to the calendar :-D

I recall there is usually a few BXs at the CXM

Jacksun, it doesn't really matter what car you turn up in at any of the rallies, it's the appreciation of the cars and people thats important. It's quite easy to just start talking to people at these do's, most of the usual awkwardness of randomly talking to strangers is taken away as firstly a chunk of us you already know. Secondly, the immediate common interest of Citroens makes for an easy ice breaker!
You'd enjoy the CXM rally, I hear rumours that the BXers are coming, they are people who know how to enjoy themselves
