CCC National Rally 2011 - July 16 - 17th. CONFIRMED!

Post by Citroening »

CCC National Rally 2011 - July 16 - 17th

Well it's been pretty much confirmed that the National Rally of the CCC will be held on the weekend of the 16-17th of July 2011.
It's NEARLY confirmed that it will be at The Skylark Showground at Manea, Cambridgeshire. Here's their website.

You can also see here, the location of the showground too.

Now, the eagle-eyed of you will spot that it is very near to where we live (2 miles!), so it is very convenient indeed! :D

It should be a super weekend of all things Citroen and we plan to take a very large amount of Citroens (10+ probably).
...this includes CXs, Visas, Rosalie etc.

Tim Leech is organising the National Rally this year and he's a member on here too, and as it's so close we'll no doubt lend a hand.

...further details will be posted nearer the time.

So, I guess you'll be walking to it then Franklin? Saves the hassle of parking your car

Actually, I expect your entire fleet to be there...

Please it's back to being in a showground. I really didn't enjoy the Gaydon experience. It seemed all wrong to hold it in a car park with the great unwashed milling around...

So Tim's organising it is he? So it'll be the CCC National BX and Beetle Show then

I quite enjoyed the Gaydon event, though mostly because I had not been for a few years. Ill not be going again soon either, not as good as it once was.

Ah, good point Jim, we're sure to see many BXs there.

...you're probably right about that Jim - maybe not ALL but certainly into double figures for sure.

Just to note, in that it's very NEARLY confirmed to be at the Skylark but the date is definite and the post is just so people can plan their calender/diary etc.

Haha no rubber bands, the entertainer is a solo artist I'm told who is very good and his forte is 60-s up to the present so should cover most "bases"

www.unsigned.com/bondy

No Beetles on site, just lots of BX's! etc

Everyone's welcome and I feel the price is very fair, in your Citroen or not, just bare in mind that there will be a lot of other people there so we have to show we can behave

I will be trying to Park all the relevant models side by side in an orderly fashion, so please remember that when you "abandon" your car

That's a good price Tim, I wish the ICCCCCCR committee were publishing similarly sensible prices when they try to tell us they are offering 'bargain tickets' at £50 a go

I do agree £50 seems alot but thats for the whole event including camping though, if you only ever go to one Citroen Rally, then make sure its this one.

You can turn up and pay on the day, and it will be alot cheaper.

Ive bought my ticket (and my new tent! )
