You were VERY unlucky Davie....
And to be fair, it is something that couldn't be predicted, other than the fact it is a car!!!!!

I'm sure Chris will be mortified when he learns of it, he is always so very careful with his cars and keeps on top of everything.

I'm in no way saying anything against Chris. I know he looked after it, and this is just unlucky. It is an old car, and unfortunately old cars break.

I am afraid I dont understand the question.

No idea. Dont think so. I could try to find out.

I did buy my car in Spain.

I will try to upload some pics later.

BTW its my second Activa V6 (third citroën) and the one I had before for 8 years died 5 km after quitting the garagist and was supossed to be in perfect working order.

Never thought actually of selling it, but if I had had that intention the potential buyer would have been logically mad at me.

S*** happens, this cars are unfortunately very old so its easy to oversee something.

After buying this one I noticed after only 350 km that it leaked oil...timing belt exchage +tons of other things are due right now.

No idea if the seller did dupe me (probably), I dont care.

I just will repair it. I am fairly happy I found a "new" one with tonnnns of flaws, but that still works.
