hi all and thank you for letting me join, I have just bought a 2002 2.0 hdi c5 with a few faults, but I would like to say that the car is absolutely brill in the comfort area and nice and big, but my main problem is when driving for about 7/15 miles it can start to cut out when at lights and struggle to start if it does, second is if I put my foot down the engine and service light come on and the car losses half its power like the turbo is not working any more, there seems to be a little black box thing at the back of the engine bay with 2 rubber pipes coming from it that have been cut, now some one told me that the dpf thingy has been taken off but have no idea any help would be absolutely great cheers all. ps I would put a pic up but don't know how to yet .

Welcome killer :welc:
There are a few possibilities there.
Have the vacuum pipes been sealed as this could affect the turbo operation?

Best thing would be to have someone run a diagnostic check on it.
Some of the members have the Lexia kit and offer diagnostic sessions at very affordable prices compared to the dealer prices.

If you take a look in this thread for a list of members you may contact -PM is best method - there is also a map link there to make it a bit easier to find someone close to you.

There is a guide to uploading pictures here.
PM me if you get stuck and I will help if I can.

If disconnecting the MaF makes no difference, then there is a problem in itself.

Never fit a cheap one, only originals last so don't waste your money on cheap in this case.

It really needs to be put on a LEXIA, guess work is expensive. Have it diagnosed before you start swapping parts out.
There is a map with members who have one in the Super Sticky pages.
