I've just joined, don't know whether people do this but I am going to introduce myself. I am Harry, a 15 year old Citroen enthusiast. I am obsessed with Citroens and it annoys my close friends and family because I go on and on about them all the time. I have grown up with Citroens, so it has rubbed off on me. My parents had 2 BXs G535 BPM and D99 WPB and then a 1997 Xantia Estate (P710 ORW, my favourite). Now we have a Synergie called Sally, she has just passed 153,000 miles, so average for an XUD. She was acquired in 2006, so almost ten years ago. When my dad left in 2010, we kept Sally. Also, we bought another Synergie (Sylvia) around about Christmas last year, but she had no service history, so we needed to get the cambelt done but we couldn't afford it at the time. We then sold her with the same mileage and for the same price we bought her for (126,397). Sally has towed 5 different trailers/caravans. My brother is 18, so he needed a car. I found a great condition Xsara Pic for sale at £590, we got insurance quotes for £1100, which was extremely cheap compared to any other cars. There are a few bits and pieces to be done on Sally, most notably the power steering pump and small interior bits. I would love an Activa, but they are rare and I will probably have to import one  . Also I want a Xant V6, not as rare so might be able to get one.

Welcome to the forum Harry.

Nice intro, shame you don't have a car yet - that's when the headaches begin though

Hi Harry

Welcome to the forum. I started running hydropnumatic Citroens in the '80s with CX diesel Safaris, I ran those for about 10 years and a lot of miles then 'upgraded' to XM's which I ran for another 15 years+. I say upgraded but the XM wasn't a 'real Citroen as the CX was. I now have a C5 which again is not as good as the XM apart from the fuel consumption with the Hdi engine, although I could get 50+ mpg from the 2.1 XUD XM's, the Hdi though will give 60+mpg driven sympathetically.

Welcome Harry, looks like you've got some good taste in cars. An Activa is my favourite as well, especially a v6 one. They're not totally rare you know, the odd good one gets sold now and again. I'm sure they'll be one for you, there's definitely one out there with my name on it.
