Hi all from Denmark

A forum for new members to introduce themselves to the rabble already onboard. Not compulsory!
Tell us a little about yourself, lie if you have to but keep it to just an introduction, not a car discussion.

Hi all from Denmark

Post by moenbeer »

Hi

New owner of a Citroen C5 HDI 2.0 2004. My first French car... Newere car with a Computer... and my first diesel turbo. So I'm going to ask a lot of stupid questions, since I only know older W124 Merced-Benz and US cars before the introduction of Computer controllede engines... So no more adjusting the Carb and ignition timing by hand...

Hello and welcome........

You may like to read this as well, it will also be very different to what you are experienced withj. It is based on the old XM so should only really be used as a "general knowledge " information....The engine stuff is a little out of date with modern common rail HDI's however the suspension material is still very similar on your car.

You will need LEXIA interface, "general readers" do not work well with C5's, so you need this to be able to use a laptop PC to connect to the car and read/clear fault codes. All others (except big $$$$ ones) just make for guess work and parts replaced that were not needed.
