Hello from Thanet

Hi folks, I'm a new member who's just picked up a new (to me) C5 Estate, it's a 2004 series 1 2.0 vtr hdi. Got it from a Citroen specialist in the wilds of Norfolk who seem to know their stuff and I'm chuffed to bits with it after cruising back down the motorways and dual carriageways to East Kent yesterday. We have had a couple of Citroens in the past, an early Picasso that was with us for 9 years before being side swiped off the road by a Polish arctic last year, and a forest green XM Estate that I took a gamble on that didn't pay off and ended up costing a fortune to try and put right.

I've had a few big Mercs in the meantime but always wanted another big Citroen. When the XM was running right, which wasn't often, it was superb and I missed that lovely smooth ride after it had gone. My last e Class has recently succumbed to the tin worm (I wondered why it did so much to the gallon but then realised it was because it was getting lighter all the time  ) so it's given me the opportunity to find a decent C5.

There are a few little things that need sorting out and using the search facility I've found a lot of advice already there that will be a great help in the near future, anyway bye for now!
