Some citroen pitures to share

Fixing oil sump crack at 3800m above sea level
D300_DSC_1232 (800x531).jpg
It took us 12 hours to finish the 100 miles (3.5 h for fixing oil sump)

The nearest place for us to have a new oil sump fitted is Lhasa, which is 800 miles away. Three days later, we arrived the city.

How did you temporarily repair the sump?

1. Clean the surface around the crack with sand paper and alcohol,
2. break a piece of gauze into strands,
3. Glue the gauze strands on the crack and surrounding area with AB adhesive, repeat the step for a few times (lay gauze strands in different directions)

The final result is kind of fiber reinforced plastics
