Tell us a little about yourself, lie if you have to but keep it to just an introduction, not a car discussion.

G'day Folks

Whilst I do vaguely recall being a member quite a while ago, I felt worthwhile re-joining as it were, and introducing myself to you all.

My name is David, aka here as well as Aussiefrogs as Eternal Oak. I have been the 'on-off' owner of a french vehicle for, say, three years now, my current one being a 1976 Citroën CX-2200.

I was a member of the CX, as well as BX forums, and know of numerous members there, if not (yet) having met them. I currently reside in the upper Blue Mountains, approximately ninety minutes west of Sydney.

The images below are my current ride; serious money has been poured into its restoration since taking delivery of it sixteen months ago, the upholstery and small paintwork/rust areas are next on the list. Hope you like the pics.

Hope to chat with you folks soon.

An appropriate number plate for an Aussie too.

Not that I know anything about Inxs, who I used to call Inkses until made aware of my fopar.

A fopar is the Chrysler you bought by mistake. :P

PSA bought one of those. The remains of Chrysler UK which had, in turn taken over Rootes (Hillman etc.) and thus ended up with the Talbot and Simca names, amongst others. They also got some Simca technology, one of which was the embryonic designs of what would become the Peugeot 205. Early petrol models of the 205 even had Simca engines, The XY series.

They got the Ryton, Coventry plant out of it and built some truly iconic cars there, the 405, 309, 306 and 206 before it was closed and British built PSA vehicles were no more.

So, not a fopar by any means :D

Eternal Oak, welcome :D Here you see a good example of how threads wander around on this forum :D :D Quite normal

Cheers Guys for the kind words, very much appreciated.

By all means if you want to see what else I've written about the 2200, check out my most recent AussieFrogs thread and have a yarn or two.
