Hi,

I'm a short-term lurker. I've been looking for a new car, so came here to do a little reading up on Citroens-we had a Xantia a few cars ago
('94 18. SX with BX GTi wheels), loved it, but defected to Volvos for a while after the cambelt snapped.

Just bought myself a very nice little ZX; a '96 Elation diesel; picking it up tomorrow.

I'm in Ashford, Kent, and do my own servicing and the majority of repairs-provided they can be done in the road!

I intend to regularly post fairly inane comments along the lines of 'nice car', rather than lengthy requests for help with undiagnosable problems (fingers crossed!).

David

Welcome :)

Same as me then (no garage or driveway!) , although with care its quite possible to safely do a lot of operations 'here' like that, without mess and without upsetting the neighbours either.

I'm always of the opinion if you make no mess (ie fluid spills) and do not do anything dangerous to passers by (grinding etc are out) its fine.

It is absolutely remarkable what can be done. Xac and I did an XUD head once on the side of the road...
