The car I spotted in AutoTrader was actually R875 RKV, a sister car:

and way back in October, I took a snap of this from the platform of Maidstone East station which made me think it might be the Activa Andrew posted above. The reg was 865 rather than 875 though. Yes it is an Activa :D

An Activa V6 in France A couple of interesting things about the ad...

rough translation:

Code: Select all

See this: Collector model, rare example of 1389 copies
Xantia V6 Activa Phase 1, Graphite Grey (almost black), RP 7520 (11/06/1997) 1997 vintage, 1st registered 29/01/1998
Standard equipment inside Activa Velours
More info by phone - Other photos by email
Switzerland car from one previous owner,
Maintains regular and updated monitoring Citroen
I am a collector of those models (I have [or had??] 19), needs for quick cash I sell this car, which is in good condition mechanical and hydraulic body with some scratches and slight dent Front Right bumper
Price € 2800 to 1.15 non-negotiable
So does he own 19 series 1 Activa V6s?
Is 1389 the number of Mk1 V6 Activas made? (I have seen the number 900 quoted elsewhere).

Doubt it's all 19 in one go - only really silly people would have so many
duplicated cars of the same variant! ;) More likely over 10 years or so and
still a garage full now. I've never seen a figure for full production numbers.
Only v6 figure I do recall is less than the 234 RHD s2 Activae registered
in the UK.

I know one french gentleman named Eric who at one point last year owned 11 Activa V6s in addition to 5 TCTs, one HDi, and one 2.1TD. Most were Mk2 I think. Could easily be up to 19 Activae by now...

The total number of Activa V6s manufactured is 2474, of which more than half is Mk1. I have the exact numbers somewhere, but 1389 sounds about right.

I'm quite surprised by those figures as that's a lot of Activae V6's
considering it's higher than all types of RHD Uk registered Activae
(s1 and s2).

Are there production figures available for the 'regular' Activa and v6
models even if it combines LHD and RHD?

I have a Citro Passion magazine from 2005 that has a six page article about V6 Activa. It also mentions production figures for all Activae by year. Total number is 18242. I assume it includes RHD models. 1389 for Mk1 V6 seems to be correct, but I had the total V6 Activa number wrong, it's 2747.

Here's a pdf version of the article: http://www.citroenkerho.fi/xantia/pdf/l ... 000CPA.pdf

Late V6 Activa less than 25,000 miles!

Post by xantia_v6 »

Nice colour, and leather, price probably realistic.

On Bon Coin

But you have laugh at this one. A fortune spent on bling, and then he tries to camoflage it in the shrubbery! (a bit low at the back too).

And very low mileage!

Very tempting... if I find a way to get it to Finland... I could of course fly to Toulouse, travel some 300km by train/bus to Bidart, and drive 1700km to Travemunde and take a 30 hour ferry back to Finland

Hmmmm, I wonder why Franklin? ;)

Biiiiiiiiig alloys, in black with quad lamps; now where've I seen that before?
<<think? think?>> :P

The Morrette effect is certainly unusual although I like the clean lines
of the standard car but would keep them if I bought a car with them
fitted; wouldn't go out of my way to buy any especially at the money
they usually sell for mind!

The ride must be like a tramcar!!
