Reading through the replies makes me appreciate the quality and friendliness of this list.
About 20% of the replies told him to clean the paint off before he kills himself, some said it would wear off (by contaminating the pads) but the remainder were just either unreadable or arguing whether it was white or 'sliver' [sic] [}:)]
What a strange world we live in!

There's no mercy with those responses. It can be brutal, owning a MK3 Golf.
Better log off now, got to polish my fuel filter.

Well its not as dumb as i first thought!
Maybe i hang around to many of these 'forums' than i should, but this cropped op on a couple a good few weeks ago, and this guy isnt as dumb as it might first appear!
Spraying the discs ISNT as stupid as it might seen, the first time you touch the brakes no matter how slow, that paint is gonna burn straight off. BUT it leaves the rest of the paint exactly where it is! Which means the edges dont go rusty, and apparently this is quite common practise! Alright im sure those who do this regular have the knowledge on which paints to use, and dont bother to spray the pads as they like to survive in the car, but amazingly this sort of thing is done for good reason!
And even more alarmingly this is just an attempt to take the mickey out of other marques of vehicle with followers dumb enough to do exactly as shown!
It certainly doesnt win muppet of the year award, the buy who does steel braided brake hoses with cable ties, thats far more impressive!

I can see the logic there, Vanny...assuming he's not used VHT paint! WOuldn't to be that close to him whilst he burns it off, though - i'd probably think my indiactor switch has burnt out again!
