Bargain Basement Motoring

Post by NewcastleFalcon »

Six Bottles of Wine has just bought me this :!: Case of right place at right time and being cheeky enough to ask.

4-door Clio 1.2, around 38,000 miles surplus to the owner's requirements. Another example of the "On my walk" method of acquiring vehicles as per Gibbo!

M & S, buy 6 bottles get 25% off Limestone Coast Sauvignon Blanc to be precise :!:

Sellers choice :-D

You have to have a bit of precision in negotiations when you pay for a car in Wine

Wahey, Bargain!

...and kind of ironic.

With such a low mileage and depreciation the "cost per mile" over the life of the car to the previous owners must be astronomical

Worth a bloody fortune now...

A Zodiac will always have happy memories for me... It was in one I heard Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon for the first time in quadraphonic on a Radiomobile quadraphonic 8-track player :)

It fair blew me away...

That's a tremendous find Neil :D They must be as rare as the old proverbial and the price somewhat bears that out...

And here's the player for it :)

Shame quaraphonic never really took off.. It sounded magical...

Interestingly, in my CD research I discovered there was provision in the standard for quadraphonic CD Audio but it was never implemented...

I have one quardaphonic vinyl LP and I keep threatening to build a decoder for it so that i can enjoy it properly! Amongst the tracks is the 1812 Overture... That must sound fantastic in quad :)
