My science teacher taught me how to do those hand tie ones back in the 1940s.

I have a Ripaults crimping tool that I have used with crimp connectors for many years and another for bullet connectors but I always solder joints where possible.
Man is, by nature, a lazy beast, he does not need twice encouraging to do nothing.
