In answer to the missus "what's up with everybody this morning?" I find a direct correlation with the rain, especially after a long dry spell. Something I became aware of when I started biking and the need to give yourself extra stopping space when it's wet. The chancers and the indecisive show up like neon lights.

Too true! The thing with this roundabout is that it's quite a large one with both single and dual carriageway entry and exit points - and to the left of where I joined it, there's a dual carriageway onto the roundabout that is usually heaving with traffic - and most just look right as they are still at considerable speed and if nothing is coming it's foot down. In that scenario, where I swerved left to avoid the oncoming car, it's very likely there would of been a multiple collision.

That's the same car that did exactly the same to me by Staines bridge about a month ago, I swear it! That was a Suzuki too :O
