Oh, I don't know, I've seen my fair share of Italian ones (holes in the ground and 2 foot plates) over the years.

When we arrived in Egypt as soldiers we were put on a train from Port Said to Ismailia, surprised to find that the toilets consisted of two brass foot plates with a hole in between to aim at open straight onto the track.
Man is, by nature, a lazy beast, he does not need twice encouraging to do nothing.

Reminds me of the 'letterbox' slot on the bulkhead for taking a quick pee in a C130 Hercules Transport 'plane...
For the other function it had an Elsan behind a hessian curtain...

Not sure that'll be enough Peter... I'd favour a complete NBC Suit...

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
Here's another Bus Cafe.....this one is a Bristol which has somehow made its way to Northumberland's Finest Honey Farm. The place I have mentioned in Nice Places to stop off at.
and about 100 yards from what I now rate as the best border crossing between Scotland and England. More a bouncy border than a hard border
Bus cafes/bridges/borders....anything goes.
More "shovers up" of POTD's required.....
Regards Neil
