No top of the head's so here's the clue...
What part of the country has the intersection of the A442 and the A458?

Looks nice there - I used to be a stamp collector and bought most of my stamps from there.

Bridgenorth, one of our Sunday day out places from Brum, my brother in law bought a holiday 'bungalow' (a shed in a field') there back in the fifties, had awful trouble with the local planners when he tried to add a septic tank loo.

Excellent work Steve, Bridgenorth passed through it on our way home as our first 50 mile stop off with the journey for us always being part of the holiday. Baulked at paying £4 for parking at the Severn Valley Railway though so found another spot.

Just too late for the "prize" Gibbo, but spot on that's Bridgenorth....you probably got it without the clue I guess.

In the absence of a good picture of the day here's a picture I took today.

Topical in that the Maestro Van, or at least the Ledbury and Apple 2000 variations have received a bit of airtime on I-Spy Classic Cars.

I hope I have captured the rust well enough. Being an L-Reg its a stock production one not one of our later novelty Ledbury or Apple 2000's

Blo…. good vans and they didn't rust like their contemporary Ford Escorts, I sold an awful lot of them and never a complaint.

I could still sell them today if they were available but they just didn't fit into Tata's plans when they took over the group so were dropped..

goes to show I should've trusted my intuition, I saw it and thought 'Bridgnorth'.

Nah, thought I, could be anywhere.... and the A442 / A458 signs even if I was to google the junction, probably a Red Herring.

Nice part of the world if anyone's up that way, well worth a visit.

Full of interest, and we found Herefordshire/Welsh Borders the same....even some AA Village signs too! Also passed by Brightwells at Leominster and had a bit mooch for possible future reference. Home to regular Classic Car Auctions.

Attempted going up the M6 on the way home and quickly realised that Britain's great transport infrastructure is anything but, and bailed out and headed for Glossop and over the hills to Holmfirth.

You were in my neck of the woods Neil or very close, as for the M6 the M6 toll road is supposed to be underused, might have been worth the fee. :)

not quite Gibbo, but within an hour. I'll stick Brightwells in my 'must do that in the future' document.

Talking of which, toying with being at the Festival of the Unexceptional. Ought to crack on with the welding, but could borrow Mum in Law's Micra (boring but capable)

or maybe I can find more 'pre-welding prep' to do so's not to waste a couple of days....
