If your client has got problems with pigeons at work, wouldn't it just be easier to keep the office windows closed ? :-D

Interesting fact I learnt when I was gifted a few days "flying experiences" from a local owl and raptor centre, the harris hawks are social birds and are more effective hunting in coperative groups (of 2-6). A falconer has to be very experienced to fly a lone harris hawk, lest it might fly off and not come back.

We took a pair out hunting rabbits and even then, the success rate was just one out of six attempted ambushes.
The Hawks did succeed in mugging a kestrel who was carrying a rodent a few miles away, much to the dismay of the falconers.

But getting back to the speed and what's on the end of such momentum - two sets of sharp talons. They're practically guided arrows and some raptors are able to pierce mammals skulls up to the size of a wolf.

:D That office is the site Estate Management office, and the two had to go there first before they went out to work.

Anyone watch Grand Designs?

See the one with the couple who built a house in Midlothian next to some lime kilns.
I do believe they have sold it now after 10 years and moved up to Colonsay.

Here it is, passed by it on the way up to Edinburgh today, just South of Pathhead.

Spot on Neil. We also have some of the 'Royal' location in Scarborough, James Herriot land and 'last of the summer wine'. Guess what we do when on holiday. :-D

You will have been mooching around Holmfirth for "Last of the summer wine" then. The book "James Herriot's Yorkshire" writtten by the man himself is good for his take on the locations. There is of course the car going over the water splash, and the little hump back bridge.

Thanks for the video Neil but for some reason I am getting sound but no picture, as I do on a number of YouTube videos at the moment, can't find out why though. Tried turning off AdBlock, makes no difference

We stay in the Scotch corner Travelodge for a few days every September and 'do' north Yorkshire and also Beamish, like it second only to the north of Scotland which we shan't be doing this year, first time for many, they have stopped renting the cottage we have been to for years. So we might go to Yorkshire in May this year.

Have you tried a different browser Peter?
It is working fine for me, tried on three different computers with Firefox and Chromium.
There was an Adobe whassname update a few days ago, may have broken something for you.

Now this is very well done......the opening credits of All creatures great and small done in your own car. Now if I have bought that red caravelle it would look absolutely "ace" doing the same thing. Even looks good with the KIA CARENS CRDI LX 2006 (thanks DVLA)

great fun!

Much kudos to anyone on the FCF putting together one of these!

Must have a trudge around there again one day. It all used to be familiar territory.
Almost lost my motorbike in another water splash not far from that one but deeper and faster flowing. Slipped away from me and just stopped it dropping off the ford into 6' of water.

I am sure a bit of footage in your C5 doing the watersplash and the hump backed bridge would be excellent Steve.

Next time I'm round about those parts I am going to find it hard to resist seeking out those locations and getting the compact camera on its video setting and staging those shots! My Clio if i say so myself is a very nice blue and would add a nice splash of colour too :-D

Just clicked as I usually do an Geograph's picture of the day. I very much take an interest in all parts of the UK and have holidayed travelled to all sorts of different places. When the picture came up I instantly knew where it was. There isn''t a landscape like that anywhere else in the UK

I once witnessed a Pigeon land near the top of the Roller shutter Door of an Industrial Unit I was charged with taking care of (Loading Bay sort of thing) and walk up the remainder of the vertical shutter to enter the empty premises.

The Boss didn't believe me til I showed him the pictures.
