I picked it up on eBay for a fraction of the new price (but still more than the price of a good project car). It would be rather handy for some of your current projects, but is inconveniently located.

It surely would be Mike but yes, rather too far away I fear! I guess it's on the other side of the world...

This is what we used in the garage in Brum in the late fifties, early sixties, our boss was a forward looking man and was probably one of the first in the country to buy one of these and have his mechanics trained to use it on every service.

Chris (White Exec) in one of his posts on the electric vehicles etc thread mentioned that the UK had 4 "Pumped Storage" Power Stations.

Well today's picture of the day from Geograph features the upper reservoir for Ffestiniog Power Station, the smaller of the 2 Welsh Sites

New Month Eve...prepare your camera's...

Post by NewcastleFalcon »

You may remember this call to arms from last month
Let us not let the first day of the month pass without a POTD.
Let us start a tradition of first day of the month POTD posting
Let us get out with our Cameras, our Phones and our Dash Cams on this day and record the interesting and the boring! the sharp and the out of focus!
..and off to a brilliant start on November 1st.......one entry!

December 1st beckons so lets set ourselves the target of at least doubling our productivity for December 1st

Just join in! Its easy!

(yes but dont peak too soon after all its still November 30th until 12.00 passes tonight)

Look forward to it Jim! Not a great photography day in Northumberland today. We had thunder and lightning and snowstorms all at the same time. Can't recall that sort of thing happening before. Dramatic and atmospheric, but being soaked to the skin took away a little bit of the enjoyment!

Sorry to hear that Jim. Don't think the Groundhogs track "Cherry Red" I posted up on the PE Jukebox will be much help.

Maybe the

Pickled Egg Jukebox-Laid back sounds

would be more soothing

and a recommendation from a friend who reckons Beethoven's Sixth helps hm out on his bad days.

Hope you are back onto good days soon
