I will give Clarkston one thing about his programs..

unlike Dan Snow...he does to keep declaring how he discovered this or that.....(when all he did was read a script or a book) and WHUT, do they write only for 10 year old kids these days, talk about dumb down BBC.

With Clarkston, he does present the researchers work very well (the real work that takes 30 years) as well as keeping it on a higher lever.
Take it from one involved deeply in such stuff....he is fact led in his programs and that is a rare thing in a world full of the "History Channel"

Longitude is also a great pair of programs, but you will need to see both parts.

Not a surprise, and frankly deserved if he left someone needing hospital attention.

Slapped lip = Hospital....no wonder the NHS is blocked up !!.....however, you cannot do that....it is deserved I am afraid as there is zero place for violence or the bullying that often goes with that type of lack of personal control.

Thing is, with what we know these days, sometimes you have to get checked out. Clarkson could have caught him with a ring, which caused the cut, which had some crud with bacteria on it.. etc. Unlikely, but strange things happen

You most certainly cannot go around bullying or acting like that, it's fully deserved. I'm disappointed that May and Hammond have said they won't do the show without him as it indirectly condones his actions. The cynic in me says obviously the three of them will pop up on Sky.

They'd still be looking for the body if my boss treated me in such a way ;-)

I quite agree, the first thing we're taught in karate...

One defensive strike is considered self-defence, more than one is assault...

Simple as that. There is no place for it and no excuse.

Naturally we will never know the full story but from the reporting thus far it seems he really lost it even given the hype that will invariably up it somewhat...

Indeed. Just make sure that one strike is enough to either stop them, or really consider their next course of action.
