Top of the Pops 1977 on TV right now, Barclay James Harvest's only appearance ever on the show, Rod Stewart and his version of "The First Cut is the Deepest", The Jam "In the City" (PE Jukebox Virgins still), but just in front....we have to let Heatwave into the PE Jukebox Hall of Fame...classic

I often wonder what happened to the fabulous suits and costumes worn by the myriad 70s bands - the ones worn by Heatwave are a case in point. Is there some super-fan somewhere with a complete costume tucked away in a wardrobe, desperate to convince anyone that'll dare to enquire: "That's worth a fortune, that is. It was worn by the drummer of the band"

Perhaps a theme night for some point in the future - videos with amazing costumes in them :)

When I watched that video I noticed that the keyboard player was lets say not quite as cool as the rest of the band.

Rod Temperton as it turns out, and a man who has quite a catalogue of great songwriting credits as well as "Boogie Nights."

"Thriller", "Off the wall" , "Rock with You", "Give me the Night" "Love X Love"

Well as we’re on to the tail end of glam rock, I thought I’d pay a visit with one of my fave 70s bands:

And as I only make a rare visit here, I’m going to get a second one in :-D

Please Don't PM Me For Technical Help

Hands up those who thought that that Blondie (or for younger members Atomic Kitten) wrote this song....

Ashokan Farewell.
Sounds Celtic to me but what do I know.
An American Civil War lament, written long after the fact (1982)by Jay Ungar.
