Now can anyone identify this from its bench seat and its steering wheel?

Came across it today, has a price tag of £4,500 and being sold by an outfit in Bonnyrigg.

Now a simple google query is going to come close surely. Has a nickname and was produced overseas with the odd few being imported to the UK. Probably dont have to scratch your heads too much for the decade.

Have a go.

That wheel looked familiar but, curiously, not the dash & certainly not the gear lever - not enough to identify it. Curiosity got the better of me so now I know what it is BUT not going to spoil the game for others.

I thought that I recognised the wheel but found I was wrong and didn't know that car existed.
Only seen one car from that manufacturer anyway, early seventies.

Surely not Steve, unless you are barking up the wrong tree! The manufacturer of our whatsthisthen? has its products all over the world :-D The steering wheel is quite characteristic.

The nickname isnt in English.....I take it that fits in with your conclusion Van.

Actually just looked them up and instantly recognised one of their products that I did see frequently - one every morning while delivering papers while still at school - rebranded for sale in the UK.

Oh far too far out for me Neil, that was a look up job. I did think Simca or a Sunbeam and even Datsun based on the steering wheel, but knowing how cunning you are Neil, I knew it would be something obscure that I would never get in a million years! :-D

I had a few of the later ones through the business, can't recall having a Mk 3. They were Ford P100 in the UK on both the Cortina and Sierra.

Odd, when I submitted that, the previous 6 posts were't there - the haunted forum strikes again! :?

Was it really a Mk 3 - or the original P100? Although the SA Mk 4 version - which we knew as the P100 - had a V6 (same as their pre-V8 Capris!)
