Not sure Malcolm. I expect he's home by now. Most likely recovering in a quiet room :D

It was a private nose job that they (-expletive removed-) up! The NHS appears to have at least sorted some of it out..

Oh I wish Jim. Actually, I'm not a fan of Bogota. Too high up, struggle for breath sometimes and it's another big city.

Today I did the full Top Gear scary adventure drive from La Dorada (utter paradise, low down, 36c) back up the 4 hour, 8600ft climb up to the plain Bogota sits on up twisty roads, with trucks, mad drivers, hairpins and big drops. Amazing road, amazing scenery though I admit to being genuinely scared at least 3 times. When I get home I'll write some bits about it in my small blog for anyone who wants to know more...

it's vaguely French Car related as our outbound trip down the road (200 km, 4 hours or more) was in a heavily laden Clio 1.2 being driven by my cousin Sebastian, who, like all Colombians, be they male or female, instantly start to channel Juan Pablo Montoya when they get in a car. We stopped 6 times to allow the brakes to cool...

Sounds like a brilliant adventure Mike :-D

If you were scared three times imagine how I'd be on such a journey

I can get seriously scared on a trip to our local Tesco as a passenger...

I might (only might, mind you) be able to help out on this. My colleague drives a 13 reg Peugeot Partner van, 1.6HDi. I have a tape measure in my toolkit. If this would help could you let me know what you need, and how to measure it?

thanks James
i require the measurement of the length the bellows extend to, between the edge of the of the cylinder body ( were the bellows attach ) to the lip of the fork

obviously whilst an assistant holds the clutch pedal hard to the floor boards,

that would be great

on my friends 3071.6 HDI there is 54mm, on the Peugeot Partner i have here it has 44mm

Sorry Malcolm, but Darren had today off. The earliest we are likely to meet up is Tuesday (due to the rota). I will get that measurement unless you beat me to it.
