Roll Over Jig

Post by evilally »

What do you guys think of this?

I need to weld various parts of the underside of the 405. It's currently more or less a bare shell on my driveway. They seem to have excellent feedback. I wouldn't anticipate keeping it, I'd buy it, do the job, then sell it on. I hadn't considered something like this before as they seem to cost huge amounts of money usually.

Provided the chassis is fairly rigid end to end, it should work fine. Good price, for sure.

You'd be able to completely invert the 405 and even jack it with a crossbeam through the door openings to correct any sag while welding.

That's a good point Addo, I have already removed the rear chassis legs (what was left of them) and some bits of the boot floor. I wonder if that will affect the use of this?

Hi Malcolm, yes I saw that. I was going to message them and see about my particular requirements. The alternative is to tip the chassis on it's side onto some old tyres.....

i dont mean the attachment, i read it as saying there is a different jig for each model of car,
as the center height of the spit roast will require different ground clearance for different sized cars

Ive got a set, you bolt it to the nose and tail of the car, then a threaded jack mechanism enables you to lift the car and then roll it over as required, very good bit of kit at a good price, if you've got lots of welding to do under a vehicle then get it, its worth every penny and some.

Service Citroen is awesome, it shows me pictures of all the parts i used to be able to buy............
