Club xm down?

Post by KP »

Sat on a lounger in Sharm and the only site I can't get to is club xm :( don't get me wrong I'm not getting anything but dialup speeds here for other sites but they all load up eventually but club xm just sits and then dies a death with nothingn loaded and while I know it's slow at the best of times just wondering if anyone else is having the issue?

Sucks when I get email updates and try to check and can't see anything ;(

Well just tried a very slow VPN connection to home, and then to one of the offices and it still doesn't load at either of those so looks like it's dead ;(

Anyone know anything more at all?

I know you should be enjoying the evening's entertainment at the hotel, or heading off into Old Sharm to the Sinai Star to sample their seafood platter, rather than worrying about club XM :)

I have been doing :) breakfast, then sun, then lunch, then more sun and the beer and then dinner, then the night with more beer and wifi :) can't believe some places want £4 per hour for internet! Should have seen their face when I said I pay that for a month worth of 30/10 service lol

Anyone know what's happened? It's like the server back end has vanished!

I'm guessing it was hosted at someone's home and over a DSL line so possibly an ip change has caused this?

It's not Will, it's just that we'd be more than happy to offer back-up hosting to Club-XM using the FCF's infrastructure...

Could be an idea Jim. When I implement a system at the moment it's done in failover cluster triplicate which is fun with the heartbeat between the 3 sometimes when they want to be an ass.

I decided to give myself more work during the setup phase of services as I have got sick of getting call outs and spending whole nights thru to morning in an office repairing aged and poorly setup environments typically just before I go on holiday so know there will be calls while I'm away about thighs not quite right :(

Andy can probably sort you out with an Invision based forum if required too. Something to bear in mind if needed.
