Oil filters & how to remove them!

I used this kind of oil filter wrench in my Xantia. After trying several different types of tools I think this was the best. It is similar as given in Chlorate's post.

Will this work on a Clio Mk2 Ph 2 that has a plastic case with a replaceable paper element inside?
I intend to do this one & a Clio Mk2 Ph 1 that has a canister at half term.

No, not for the paper element plastic case filter types

If it's same kind of plastic case as in Xsara, C5 then you can use hex socket (was it 24 mm or 27 mm).

According to the YouTube video I have just watched Clio has a different kind of plastic case oil filter as in C5.
In the video oil filter change starts at 5:58 and you can see the tool used there:

and also the tool I have shown above pic. would work fine in this case .

That's interesting, I didn't think of looking on youtube!
The last time I did it I got it off with an old bike toe strap!
