Just got overtaken by a gorgeous looking dark copper/bronze coloured D plate CX estate on the M6, think we're somewhere around Stoke-on-Trent.

I saw a Lomax in the petrol station in Callendar on Friday last week. Sort of brown colour, looked a bit well worn - brave driver, as it was not all that warm!!

I always thought all Lomaxes were green Richard...

I've not seen one for ages now...

Spotted this GSA for sale in Central Otago (NZ). A Pallas C-Matic, no less. A bit battle scarred, but probably quite solid under the skin.

Coming back up the 303 last night, passing though Winterbtourne Stoke, one car ahead I spotted the unmistakable rear profile & taillights of a DS, an unusual sight out on the road these days, especially at night (all right, late evening) - in January!

Gosh, I know that bit of the '303 like the back of my hand :)

In fact the '303 from the A34 Bullington Cross junction to Podimore is so familiar I know every pothole...

Have you seen the BBC documentary about the '303 in which an old boy in a white Morris Minor Traveller explores its whole length... It's well worth a watch :)

Saw a fairly tidy white F plate BX in the wild today :)

Spotted going along the Newport Pagnell Bypass... I was filling Sally with petrol at the time so no picture...

Been ages since I've filled up Sally... I had to remind myself which side the filler cap was on

Jim, I've been driving Xantia's since 2005 almost exclusively and since I've been driving the Ion and so infrequently driving (and filling up) the Xantia, when I do go for fuel for the Xantia I also forget which side the filler is on!

Pleased it's not only me Simon... Pixo and Ka are on the left and only Saxo is on the right just to add to the confusion...

Allegedly that is a sure sign the Pixo and Ka were designed as RHD cars...

We've touched on this before so I won't repeat my observations BUT, according to a Japanese Cadillac enthusiast I met in Austria, it's which side the indicator stalk's on that the real clue - although that seemed to be based on Japanese caars being the opposite to eveyone else, which I didn't find very convincing either.

On most cars (but not all), the fuel pump icon on the fuel guage is on the same side of the guage as the filler is on the car. Shoot that down.

Not anything I have ever bothered to look at although I have heard it mentioned previously.
I did look on daughter's C3 on my way to the petrol station yesterday and on my C5 today and they agree.

Being awkward, I always chose the opposite side as I find it easier and more comfortable to be away from the pump. I have never encountered a hose that won't reach across the car.

I do watch the Litres & £ mounting up but it is purely academic as I always brim the tank anyway. Saves filling up more than once a month unless a long journey is called for.
