Hello i been wondering if if suspension units are the same on any cars?
as i been looking to upgrade suspension on my Peugeot 307hdi to coil-overs. But they are hard to find.
i been looking at the Peugeot 207 suspension and they seem really identical to 307.
Could any1 help me out here ?
i know that Peugeot and Citroen engines are exactly the same so im wondering about suspension would be really helpful if anyone could help.
Thanks

Im not sure if any other suspension would be suitable. It might be worth asking the company who make the coil-overs.

It might be an idea to sign up with Peugeot ServiceBox and do a cross-reference of the parts involved...
If they share anything then ServiceBox will surely show it...

can coil overs be used with torsion bar suspension, i know T/B/S can be uprated but never studied the subject, so don't know anything about it,

you can adjust the torsoin bars lower or higher to suit, mark the splines its on, slide it out and put it back a spline or two different, - is a bit more technical than that but in essence of how its done!
my old 309Gti had the tb 1 spline down, 1 spline is about 25mm, looked great and improved the handling lovely,
most cars with torsoin bars though have a simple shock arrangement out back rather than full strut and spring, you can get kits that use the shock as a strut with the springs on them, as a rear conversion, but the proper kits have a shorter shock in them,
207sw modding amongst the belgium peeps is quite high so kits are out there, and theyve done a few 307 sw's too,
heres a link to cleaned.be for a normal 307 http://www.cleaned.be/garage.php?action=toonmeer&id=69" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; they seem to favour the KW variant range of coilies
