Berlingo - nothing, thanks to DickieG and his knowledge. It needs some new front tyres, but only because the ones on it are rubbish. They're not worn out, just awful in the wet.

MX5 - Everything, it's a piece of crap. I hate it. Does anyone want to buy it before SOMETHING ELSE BREAKS?

Where do I start ok prob a short list but some are a bit of a pain

Front tyre wear no one can diagnose???
2 more new tyres
Driver seat bolster worn (no padding underneath)
Engine cover loose needs high temp glue to sort low priority
Missing number plate light covers - according to mot didn't know she had them in the first place
Drivers head light weird over spray look. Spare sitting here
Cd stuck in radio beach boys ahhh the shame
Ash tray won't close just started last night :(
Needs a full service due sooner or latter
Various scratchs and paint chips
Slight water leak into the boot
Curtiousy lights stay on when driving real pain

I think that is all of it mostly small stupid things that I will sort out over time

Driver's side rear arm bearings. Bought them already just need to get round to fitting.
Ashtray doesn't close properly. It's shut atm but I daren't open it.
Rear demister - half of the strips don't work.
Windscreen washers don't work properly, keep blocking.
Scratches and little dings to be cleaned up.
and MOT is due in about 2 weeks.

Xantia: Rear brakes overhaul; could do with a new windscreen, but the bullet has been there 2.5 years so far...; could do with new bushes on the front arms, but they're not falling off yet; could do with a new NS drop link, but it only rattles a bit; filthy inside, but that's what comes of using like a builder's van!

C4 Pic: Need to fit the air filter.

Visa Decap: welding, welding, welding and some more welding. And then everything else. Anyone want a spares car?????

Gear cable needs fitted- have cable, not looking forward to fitting.
Service required- no idea when it was last done
LPG filters need changed- won't rev past 4500rpm on gas
Headlights turn themselves on randomly, will just live with this unless it's cheap to fix
Outside temp display wrong- no big deal but annoying as the frost warning overrides the clock
Various trim clips missing- inside, outside and under bonnet
Exhaust tailpipe baffles have come adrift- doesn't leak but sounds a bit sporty
Driver's door has decided it won't always unlock from the outside (key or plip)
Occasional click from a rear arm

Some of these I'll fix soon, some can wait and some I'll just live with.

I've only ever seen that on one other C5- our estate, I thought the previous owner had fitted an aftermarket one (he grumbled about the price of headlights and had fitted protectors- superfluous on plastic lights I'd have thought), but both lights were genuine and as old as the car. I finally found a good replacement a couple of weeks ago. Releasing the bumper at one side for fitting is surprisingly easy.

no need to replace the headlamp, going over the plastic lamp lense with very fine wet and dry and then going over with a buffer and some cutting compound will have that lamp looking like brand new again in no time and saave some money and dismantling too.

Not having a buffer or any fine wet and dry to hand but having a new head light already its just getting the time is the really hard bit but your idea is more sensible if you have the tools to do it you can have mine for a pint aand postage and wang it on ebay. If you want?

Sounds like the Comms 2000?? Mum's 206 kept doing this, got to the point where the headlights came on instead of the indicators.

I tried that and it was hopeless. The plastic is yellowed and it looks like an algal growth inside and out.
I have learned recently that the plastic is very UV sensitive and the bulbs used must have UV filtering to prevent this.
The new car has one new headlamp and one in that state :(
Also:
Fuel gauge a bit haywire - was empty on Wednesday, then on Saturday after being cleaned inside and out, was 1/4 full with no fuel added.
Filled it up this evening and it took 53L where the other would have taken 65~70.
Very poor performance compared to the old one. Swapped MAFs but no improvement and it seems to be deteriorating progressively.
Windscreen wipers shot and there appears to be some contamination of the glass, tried Glasgow Brandy, patent glass cleaner and Jif (Cif) and it ain't no better. Wondering if 'RainX' has been dribbled on it.
Reversing light switch don't work.

My C5:
Requires nothing, just how I like it ... Well, it could do with a wash

My Activa:
Will need new front tyres before too long
Due an oil and filter service - which ill be doing in the next week or two
Has some trim rattles I need to get rid of, some silicone spray should sort that out

XM:
Heater plugs seem to be getting on in age and need relacing
External temperature gauge is intermittent

2002 C5:
Wheels need balancing
Drivers seat belt is getting slow at coiling in
Climate control sometimes has a mind of its own

2005 C5:
Requires new front brake pads soon
Requires new Michelins soon - already got those
Rear tailgate glass does not open - its had the usual fix and its stopped again

C15:
Could use a cambelt kit as its 8 years since it was done but only about 5000 miles. Its serviced annually and has no other problems.

2cv:
Have just ordered a:
new catch to keep the drivers side window up
new strap which holds the roof back
front brake pads
All should be here and fitted by the weekend but fine otherwise

Traction:
Needs nothing

C1:
Needs nothing

There are a few cosmetic things to some of them, fitting the stainless steel side trims to the XM and Xantia etc, nothing which effects the use of the car though.

The XM is due for a MOT in 10 days, all the important bits work so...

However the fuel gauge sometimes works sometimes doesn't, I suspect it's not the gauge PCB.
The paintwork needs serious attention.
Maybe a proper stereo install.
1x ABS and external temp sensor replaced but the rear still rises up just prior to stopping. I'm convinced the ABS is doing this but have yet to Lexia it. Last time it showed no faults but still did it.
I think that's pretty good for a 19 year old.

Steve.
